As usual, I’ve been a bit remiss with my posts – to be honest, I really don’t know where the days go! But it is all in a good cause: I’ve been really busy on the writing front and in looking at new business prospects!
The Devil to Pay is about to launch next week – and literally as I am writing this, the pre-launch printed copies have arrived! Which means some signing and sending out needs to be done! This time I’m going to do my on the day of the launch and afterwards rather than before. After all, there is no point wanting to get a book that is not yet available (unless it is by a favourite or well-known author!).
I also have some new business prospects as well as a couple of other possible exciting new ventures on the back-burner! I’m afraid I can’t reveal more at the moment as it is all in the baby stages – but be assured that it IS exciting!
A piece of news that isn’t so good though is that my best friend, constant shadow, consoler and therapist – my 13 year old lurcher Poppy – has just been diagnosed with invasive cancer of the bladder (TCC). In herself she is fine, and has no other health issues (hopefully it hasn’t spread yet) – but there isn’t much that can be done and the prognosis is bleak. But we are not giving up that easily: I have an appointment with a dog oncologist next Wednesday and I am also looking into various alternative therapies which have a good record for positive results. Please send her all the positive vibes you can – I would be truly lost without her quiet, loyal company.
So it all looks to be a bit of a rollercoaster over the next few months. I shall keep you all updated how everything – good or bad – is going.
